Review: Holy Cow Creamery

6:40 PM

Since I'm feeling *rather* free now, I shall do up a quick review of this new gem that has sprouted in Yishun -- Holy Cow Creamery

Took a quick OOTD and I'm really in love with the shirt dress. When I tried it on for the shoot for RunwayAE, I straight away told my boss that I wanted to keep it. hehee.

Really, it has taken Yishun long enough before something hipster actually popped up.. LOL Like a cafe or an ice cream parlour of some sorts. Even though we do have daily scoop somewhere on the outskirts of Yishun, well there's pretty nothing much in the neighbourhood itself. So yay!!! when I finally heard from B one day when there's a new ice cream parlour just opened here (:

It's located near to the Town Council/ old Yishun library at BLK 292. Not exactly near to where I stay but close enough, and probably the closest ice cream parlour I can find within 30min of travelling time.

We settled for a waffle with double scoop of ice cream ($10) with flavours of our choice : White chocolate macadamia & Salted gula melaka

My verdict:
The two flavours actually tasted similar but I preferred the salted gula melaka for the hinge of saltiness present. A little more adventurous in its flavour although it can't match up with that of Creamier's. Not a fan of white chocolate but thankfully this wasn't too chocolate-y and well, things hardly ever go wrong with macadamia anyway!! But their ice creams are more on the milky side... so it's up to your personal preference. I'm fine with it personally (: The waffles wise, was really average, nothing to rave about.

Will definitely be back to try more flavours considering its convenience and the pricing (same as Creamier, cheaper than Sunday Folks which imo is really overrated) and would love to try more flavours!! Creamier still tops my chart for now. My friend told me that their brownies are nice so my next trip there may potentially to get my hands on their brownie! (and perhaps a drink?)

Another plus point about having an ice cream parlour within your neighbourhood is that we can actually go there barefaced with uncombed hair and sometimes our sleeping clothes HAHAHA

It's great to see Yishun finally slightly more happening, but if more ice cream shops were to sprout out in this area, Holy Cow will probably have to up its game!
